The Association Bassin Versant du Poisson Blanc (ABVPB) supports the expansion of Parc régional du Poisson Blanc to include the southern islands and shores of Lac Poisson Blanc. We recognize the importance of protecting this land and preserving the ecological and recreational value of this exceptional lake.
We also believe the success of any expansion depends on inclusiveness and transparency. The Poisson Blanc watershed is home to permanent and seasonal residents, recreational users, and local businesses, all of whom have a deep and longstanding connection to the lake.
ABVPB encourages park authorities to meaningfully engage with all stakeholders and to carefully consider the interests and needs of communities situated within the Poisson Blanc watershed. We remain committed to constructive collaboration and believe that strong conservation outcomes can be achieved while respecting those who live on, care for, and responsibly enjoy Lac Poisson Blanc.
