For those of you in the sectors, Montée Jean-Marc and chemin de la Solitude :
On behalf of all our members we wish to say: «Thank you Ronald and Françoise » for the GREAT presentation at the MRC of the Gatineau Valley concerning the present situation of all owners on the Montée Jean-Marc and ch de la Solitude and their access threw the Trans-Outaouais. For those of you in the Bowman sector :
A new metal « NO WAKE » sign will be delivered to one of our members within a few days to be installed near the municipal boat launch.
All the administrators of the «Base de plein-air Air-Eau-Bois» received a letter from us explaining the present problems of our members located near the small parking lot. We are hoping for the best!
For those of you near Newton Lake and on the chemin Grand-Poisson-Blanc :
A reduction of the speed limit to 50 km/h has been accepted by the municipality and the legal papers have been forwarded to the MRC for final approval. The signs should be installed before the end of 2016 so be patient.
The municipal inspector is quite busy at this time so he he didn’t have time to see in person the parking problems near the wooden bridge. So, we will give you more information next month.
A new metal « NO WAKE » sign was given to two of our members in the sector near the wooden bridge.
A new program will be starting in June for all residents and cottage owners in the Denholm and Lac-Sainte-Marie sectors :
If you move your boat to different regions or have a friend that brings his sea-doo, boat, kayak and canoe to put it in our lake make sure it has been WASH before so not to contaminate our beautiful lake. There will be a BOAT WASHING STATION for our members on the 105. It will be at the Tourist Info building in Low.
Some Association news :
We are planning some social activities that will be always suggested on our Facebook page during the season. A garage sale including a exchange of perenials was proposed but we didn’t have a good response so it was cancelled. We are presently consulting about a fishing tournament to be organise by us or a private company… details on FB.
There won’t be any water testing on Poisson Blanc lake this summer but we will continue our transparency testing on the lake and in Newton Bay.
Dont forget, we need volonteers to take care of some camping sites on the southern portion of our lake. If your interested go to our «Environmental Concerns» page.
